BankNewport Hosts State-Wide Hygiene Collection Drive

BankNewport has launched the "Kind Heart Fresh Start" initiative in support of Amenity Aid, Rhode Island's only "hygiene bank," to provide essential hygiene products to those in need across the state. Until September 28, donations of new shampoos, conditioners, and deodorants can be made at any of the bank's 19 branches. The initiative is part of BankNewport's ongoing "Kind Heart" program, which has aided underserved populations since 2016. CEO Jack Murphy and Amenity Aid's Mary Abraham Karalis have both expressed the importance of addressing hygiene insecurity as a basic necessity for the community.
