We Serve
Amenity Aid provides much-needed hygiene products to vulnerable populations throughout Rhode Island, including individuals who are unemployed, underemployed, unhoused, veterans, immigrants and refugees, LGBTQIA+ youth, students, and victims of violence, human trafficking, and more. We work in partnership with a network of 10 social service agencies, who distribute the “Nine Necessities” for personal hygiene directly to the people they serve.
Our Network of Partner Agencies
Our partner agencies are the foundation of our distribution system. In order to most effectively address hygiene insecurity throughout the state, we select partners based on the populations they serve, their location, input from our staff, and guidance from our strategic plan. These partners receive full access to all “Nine Necessities” for personal hygiene, after undergoing a vetting process, signing a written agreement with Amenity Aid, and they commit to submitting thorough reporting about product distribution and people served.
Partner Agency Waitlist
Due to the severity of hygiene insecurity in our state, there is a waitlist of over 100 organizations seeking partnerships with Amenity Aid. We aim to add 2-3 partner agencies to our program in 2024. In the interim, Rhode Island-based social service agencies can access soap and (other hygiene products as available) through our monthly Soap Distribution Days.
