To qualify to

receive soap

through our monthly Soap Distribution Days and Muffins + Monthlies event, your organization must meet a few criteria:

1. Your organization must directly serve those in need. (We do not provide product donations to individuals or groups that source products to donate to a social service agency.)

2. Your organization must be located in Rhode Island and serve people in our state.

3. Your organization must send a staff member or volunteer to attend a virtual information session with our staff to learn more about our guidelines for participating.

To get started complete our online form, tell us about your organization, and schedule your meeting with our staff.

Soap Distribution Days

Amenity Aid piloted a soap distribution program during the pandemic as access to hygiene essentials became even more critical for health and safety. Thanks to the ongoing generous support from Bradford Soap Works, Amenity Aid can continue to provide free bar soap monthly to a wider network of organizations. Other hygiene products are provided based on availability.

Muffins and Monthlies Logo

During select months, our period supply distribution events, Muffins + Monthlies, takes over our Soap Distribution Days. During these events, breakfast is served to agencies picking up period products (and soap). These events are made possible by companies that donate period supplies, local bakeries that donate breakfast pastries, and groups that sponsor and volunteer to help distribute the products during the event.

Waitlist

Partner Agency

Our partner agencies are the foundation of our distribution system. They receive monthly access to our “Nine Necessities” for personal hygiene and must submit thorough reporting about product distribution and people served.

Due to the severity of hygiene insecurity in our state, there is currently a waitlist of over 100 organizations seeking partnerships with Amenity Aid. We aim to add 2-3 partner agencies to our program this year. Partners are carefully chosen to help us most effectively address hygiene insecurity throughout the state. We select partner agencies based on the populations they serve, their location, input from our staff, and guidance from our strategic plan.
